About Bailiwick
The Bailiwick Club opened in 1972, with an original membership of approximately
50 families. The club has grown throughout the years, with its current membership
now expanded to 240 families. Located in Greenwich, CT, the clubs members are
largely comprised of families from both Greenwich and Rye Brook, New York.
Tennis Program
The Bailiwick Club has a tennis program to suit all skills and interests, from
beginner to advanced, and from social to competitive. The Men and Women's
Tennis teams compete in the Fairfield County Tennis League, and the youth tennis
teams which compete in the Fairwest tennis league. In addition, Tennis Director
Gary Fishkind and his staff run private lessons and clinics, and a junior tennis
program with over 100 kids.
Pool and Swim
The Bailiwick Club offers an Olympic sized pool and a kiddie pool. The club's swim
team, diving team and newly formed water polo team compete in the Fairfield
County Swim League. Pool Director Maureen Kitson and her staff help to run all
aspects of the pool, including aqua aerobics, private and group lessons for all
ages, and CPR and lifeguard training.
Snackbar and Grill
The Bailiwick Club also features a full-service snack bar. The snack bar features
your favorites off the grill, weekly specials, and assorted salad options.
Grounds and Maintenance
One trip to The Bailiwick Club will leave you with an impression of beautiful
landscaping and the finest tennis courts in the Greenwich area. Much of the credit
goes to Oscar Monter, who has been in charge of the grounds since 1991.
